All Topics and Posts must be related to SCCA events or related automotive topics.

Language that would be inappropriate in the polite company of strangers is unwelcome here.

No advertising, spamming, trolling, flaming or other personal attacks, be they direct or indirect.

As we can never convey a philosophy through a few rules, we reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to edit or delete posts and/or to revoke forum membership. No Second Chances; No Argument; No Trial; No Way. At best you will receive one warning.

Posting Guidelines and other info

Much has been made about "free speech" and "freedom of expression", a concept stemming from the first amendment to the United States Constitution. Unfortunately, most people have never read the first amendment and fewer still understand how it applies to our rights. Basically, the first amendment prohibits the US government from passing laws restricting our right to free speech. It does not restrict an organization or business from enacting and enforcing standards.

We believe in freedom of expression and the first amendment. However, we are not providing a forum for that freedom. We have rules and they must be followed. If that is not acceptable to you, please do not register.

The ALSCCA forum has always had standards and a strong belief in the ability of forum members to "self-regulate" to stay within the bounds of those standards. Like all SCCA regional programs, this is a volunteer effort and we are sometimes lax in enforcing them. Still, we have a strong commitment to providing an environment that we consider professional and "family friendly" and we insist on adherence to our principles.

All posts must be civil, friendly, and not contain any profanity or references to profanity.

All posts must have some point to them and some value.

This is not a soapbox. You can't say whatever you like.

Pointless topics and/or replies will be deleted.

Moderators have a free reign here. If they don't like it, it's gone.

Repeat offenders will be banned.

This is a family forum. Behave accordingly.

No advertising outside of the free classified section.

No cross posting within the forum, or posting links to other forums with content deemed inappropriate by the ALSCCA rules.

Do not post complaints, criticisms, or moderation questions on the forum.

Advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are inappropriate on the ALSCCA forum.

No requests for information that is "pay-for-service" info. As an example, you may not ask someone to look up your VIN in Carfax®. To do so is a violation of that person's agreement with Carfax and ALSCCA will not be a party to that violation.

It is not an easy task to define where "the line" that shouldn't be crossed lies. The Forum Administrator has the difficult task of making that judgment call. Hopefully he will make the decision that is considered "correct" by 95% of the community. If you feel that there are too many mistakes, please contact the BOD with specific details. Do not post complaints, criticisms, or moderation questions on the forum. These posts will be deleted and no explanation will be given.
