About the Alabama Region SCCA (ALSCCA)
The Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to motorsports, primarily at the grassroots level. Active members enjoy many events offered by the SCCA including road racing, Solo events, and rallies. The SCCA is divided into divisions containing regions. The Alabama Region (Number 1) is part of the Southeast Division (SEDiv), which consists of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and parts of Kentucky and Virginia. Most of the members in the Alabama Region reside in the Birmingham area. However, we have members in other cities including Auburn, Montgomery, and Tuscaloosa.

The Alabama Region offers many activities and opportunities in motorsports. From actual racing to working on a race crew to working behind the scenes, the Region has it all. If you want to help out, please contact one of our board members.

Within the Region, Solo II events are the primary emphasis. However, many members participate in other activities at the divisional and national level.

Most of our Solo II events are held on the parking lot at Birmingham Race Course. Several events throughout the year are held at Talladega Gran Prix Raceway, site of our two Solo I events and schools. In addition to our Solo events, the region holds several New Driver Car Control Clinics throughout the year.

The SCCA bylaws are available on the SCCA website. Our bylaws will be posted in the near future.

If you have any suggestions on other events, please contact us. The Board of Directors meet every second Tuesday of the month at Dave's Pizza in Homewood. Club members are welcome to attend Board meetings whenever they have any business issues to present to the Board.
